This second collection of Making It cartoons was published in 1989 by Andrews and McMeel, the publishing arm of Universal Press Syndicate, the company that was then distributing the comic strip.
Big Bux or Bust was part of the Just a Little Something Gift Books - small single-themed "greeting books" sold in card shops and designed to be sent on special occasions - birthday, engagement, new baby, etc. Big Bux was filed under "New Job."
The book features cartoons about the career path from preparing a résumé to cashing out. Several of the cartoons were done specifically for this book; they later found their way into the weekly strip.
Unfortunately, Big Bux or Bust is no longer available; all copies have been sold. But soon we'll be posting the entire book online here on the Making It web site. Watch for it!
